What is this Sphere thing? Sphere is a community gallery based on an idea that I appropriated from Kusakabe Minoru and his site 1024 nearly ten years ago. The premise was simple; create an image that somehow relates to a sphere. The image could be an example of a CG based technique, a shader that you are developing or a work of art. The subject matter should be appropriate for all visitors and the image should be no larger than 480 x 480, preferably saved as a .jpg. If you would, please give a description to go along with the image as well as you're email address and web page if you have one. Not all the images submitted will be posted, as I am shooting only for the best work to be added. Please don' t let this discourage you from giving it a try though. Once the image is sent in and it meets these requirements I'll post it to the gallery page. More recently, with the redesign of the site Ive added back in most all of the original contributions plus some of the images Ive found or cooked up in the int rum. I'm broadening the criteria to include some cool found imagery as well. If you find a great sphere and want to pass it along please do your best to have the source information. That being said Id like the majority of the submissions to still be something YOU have created. I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with. Contribute a Sphere -Michael
